I will call you later.......

This is something that I seem to say a huge number of times to a huge number of folks. Now, why is it important for me to talk about this??? Thats coz I want to really toy with it and find out what exactly I mean by it. So, in all truth, this is a one-on-one session.
Everytime, I get a call and I am unable to talk with the caller for a while, I tell them I will call you later....... as soon as I get the time, or as soon as I am free or better still, REEEALLY SOOON. I mean it, most of the times. And its just that I am at that stage of life when things go out of the hand. As in, I tend to forget. I can feel a lot of people nodding their heads and saying "aye, aye". So, that lets me off the hook for approx. 75% of the cases.
Lets talk about the remaining 25%. Out of that, in 15% of the cases, I really dont want to talk to the person but I am simply too NICE to hurt them by saying so. Does'nt that make me a really really nice person??? And am I to be blamed and persecuted for just being nice???? (Whimper! Woof! Woof!)
The last 10% are folks whom I would like to talk but there's my EGO. These are people who call me out of the blue, Just like that and pretend to be so busy that they just did not have the 30 seconds to call me and say a "hello" or even msg the same. Trust me, one is never as busy as that unless they have a date with Mr. Death. So, gimme a break. Dont gimme such poor excuses.
Wow! I have been able to convince mahself that I am totally in the clear. I am getting to be good at this and probably should switch to a career in marketing. Anyways, thats that. Mah conversation with mahself was simply brilliant. Try it. It works, always.
